Don’t constrict network cable. Anything that binds cable too tightly can disrupt pair twisting and increase the risk of failed Category 5e and 6 compliance testing.

When used, nylon cable ties should be loosely applied. Limit your pulling tension to 25 lbs, higher tension can distort pairs and degrade performance.

Lastly, be mindful of your bends — a cable bending radius should be no tighter than four times the cable diameter. For Category 5e and 6, the minimum bending radius is usually one inch.
